Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Croydon Park, Croydon Park Chinese Restaurant offers a delightful journey into the rich and comforting flavors of traditional Chinese cuisine. This cherished establishment, standing strong for over two decades, beckons both longtime locals and curious newcomers with its inviting atmosphere and an extensive menu that celebrates authentic dishes crafted with care.

Step inside and you’ll immediately sense the warm, nostalgic charm of this classic Chinese eatery. Despite its humble, old-school décor, the real magic lies on the plate. Diners rave about the consistently hot and flavorful dishes, from sizzling seafood delights like the Sizzling Seafood and fragrant Seafood Hot Pot to their signature fish dishes such as Crisp Skin Whole Fish with Chinese Pickle and Fried Whole Fish with Black Bean Sauce. For prawn lovers, plates like Braised King Prawns with Cashew Nuts and Curried King Prawns are a symphony of textures and tastes—tender prawns bathed in richly spiced sauces that linger memorably on the palate.

Chicken dishes here are equally impressive, showcasing both traditional and contemporary takes. Whether it’s the satisfying crunch of Deep Fried Crisp Chicken with Lemon Sauce or the savory comfort of Braised Chicken with Almonds, each bite tells a story of thoughtful preparation and bold flavors. And don’t miss the indulgent Fried Ice Cream, a highlight praised by many, offering a perfect sweet contrast to the savory feast.

Beyond the food, the service at Croydon Park Chinese Restaurant shines just as brightly. Guests frequently commend the attentive, friendly staff and speedy service, which enhances the overall dining experience without sacrificing warmth or hospitality. The staff’s professionalism is evident from the moment you walk in, with attentiveness that balances efficiency and genuine care. Cleanliness and adherence to health protocols provide added peace of mind, making this a trustworthy spot to enjoy a meal.

This place has a unique charm that transports diners back to an era where honest, hearty meals were the norm—comforting in both taste and setting. It thrives on authenticity rather than fancy frills, offering value through delicious, generously portioned plates at reasonable prices. Whether you’re craving the robust spices of Mongolian lamb, the perfectly seasoned satay chicken, or a classic fried rice, Croydon Park Chinese Restaurant consistently delivers satisfaction and nostalgia rolled into one.

For those searching for a reliable, flavourful, and welcoming local Chinese dining experience, this restaurant stands out as a beloved institution in Croydon Park.

Very fast service, a variety of dishes ordered and the food was hot and tasty. Service was amazing. The fried icecream was a hit. toilets were very clean.

Had to find a new Chinese Restaurant... have been getting takeaway from another nearby for years, but the quality had dropped and way too salty. Had to try this place under the new owners, and have to say I'm very pleased. I find testing the satay chicken, Mongolian lamb and fried rice to be the test and WOW, was impressed. highly recommend. All they need is takeaway menus for people to have at home, or a website listing menu. If they are after menu printing, contact First Class Digital Print and we can look after you.

This restaurant has been in this location for as far as I can remember maybe 20 plus years or more. The food is good and delicious and the price is very reasonable. The service is fast and efficient and the staff are very friendly and helpful

Sad at the demise of the Chinese restaurant at Canada Bay Club we were on the lookout for a replacement local Aussie Chinese and found it at Croydon Park Chinese. Stupidly we didnt make a booking for a Saturday night and were shocked at the popularity with dine in customers at 7pm. Thankfully a table was found for us by the attentive staff who were smartly dressed. White tables cloths and cool retro Chinese interior. We ordered and in less than 10 minutes our cokes and food had arrived! How is the possible? Are the chefs operating at warp speed? The drinks menu features early 2000's pricing.. had we known we would have ubered it in and out. We ordered Satay Combination, Sizzling Mongolian Lamb, and Garlic King Prawns. With special fried rice on the side. All were delicious, the portions were huge.. we were very happy indeed. Prices very reasonable. We will be back! Make sure you make a booking just to be safe.

A legendary old school chinese restaurant. Always busy. The food is great ! Price is well valued. I highly recommend this restaurant. Dont be discouraged by the fix out.. it is old. But the food will transport you to a traditional chinese household for an authentic meal.

Great local Chinese restaurant that serves standard dishes that are flavourful and familiar. Reasonably priced and sufficient portions. They also adhere to Covid-safe protocols which was great to see.

The initial draw would be the nostalgia, it reminds you of when times we're better when people knew what the term or phrase an honest meal meant. All the classic are here from the 80s with less MSG of course for those that can remember. The salt and pepper squid followed by the fried ice cream, ironically one of the more contemporary dishes that is my favourite. The odd bloke with a ciggy in his mouth out front is one only a few drawbacks. I have been here every Friday for take away for the past 5 weeks
